Assignment:
Forsvaret website is built on a old SharePoint platform and have a deep navigation structure, that’s not visible on smartphones. Based on the conditions we were asked to develop a set of elements that the content editors could use to create a carrier section on the site. The elements should also be able to support smartphone use.

Process:
We started by identifying 4 levels in the navigation. We used this knowledge to understand the levels that did not support smartphone users. I draw up a set of wireframes that supported the content requirements and made a clickable prototype, to test the navigation and interaction design. From here on I worked together with the digital designer to develop the final UI and to make sure that the interaction design still worked throughout the site.

Result:
We made a set of elements that was full wide and structured the content so that the 3rd level of the navigation was unnecessary. By doing this we allowed smartphone users to navigate through all the content. The full wide elements was also designed to tell a story and allowing the user to focus on 1 thing at the time.
